What’s the Western National Championships all about?
The Eastern and Western Championships are the competitive season’s finale and feature the best gymnasts in the country for Level 9.
Both events feature 16 age divisions that are determined by birth-date.
The Level 9 Western Championships showcases the top gymnasts from Regions 1-4:
Region 1 — Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah
Region 2 – Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington
Region 3 – Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming
Region 4 – Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin

Countdown to the 2017 Western National Championships
Congratulations to Kaitlyn Cody, Kaylee Wilson, and Riley Wilson who competed at the Level 9 Westerns over the weekend. Kaitlyn Cody is the Floor National Champion, 7th on bars and 6th All Around. Region 1 placed first as a team! Kaylee places 3rd on floor and 6th on beam. Region 1 places first! Riley competed her layout for the first time on vault, earning her 10th place!
Congratulations to Gabby Meccia and Levi Jung Ruivivar who competed at the Level 9 Westerns over the weekend. The results are in and Levi came home with the 1st place title in Bars with the highest score on bars from the Western AND the Eastern Championships! Levi also nabbed 5th AA and 8th on Beam. Gabby placed 6th on Vault. These ladies competed with Level 9s from all across the Western half of the U.S. who also qualified for this exciting event.
Congratulations to Katelyn Searle and Isabella Martin, who competed at the Western National Championship meet this weekend. Amidst stiff competition, these ladies did PEG proud. Isabella snagged a 3rd for both Vault and Floor. Katelyn was 2nd on Floor and 5th on Vault. Additionally, PEG’s gymnasts were also representing Region One, which took home the Gold for Top Region! Great job, ladies!
